New Era University-Pampanga became a second home to one hundred eighty five (185) students who were desirous of discovering knowledge and to five (5) faculty members who are willing to lead the students in their journey of discovering and enhancing their God-given intellect and skills. Two (2) administrative staff that were wiling to attend their needs in school. Their second home is in one building composed of four classroom located at EVCO Compound, Sto Niño, San Fernando Pampanga on June 25, 1994 as the response to the request of the Iglesia Ni Cristo brethren in Pampanga District for their children’s education. Initially, the school offered preparatory classes and Grades I – IV of the elementary department.

In its first year of operation, Dr. Corazon V. Liwayway as the OIC, Mr. Robert B. Mariano, Mr. Joey Morales, Mrs. Winnie Nugoy, Mrs. Tenny I. Borja, and Ms. Rosie Maliwat administered the school as faculty members. Mrs. Loribelle Mariano, the school clerk, cashier and at the same time Registrar. Mrs. Irene Mariano, the school nurse and at the same time Librarian.

On March 1995, New Era College – Pampanga held the first graduation ceremony at EVCO compound with fifty-nine (59) graduates from Pre-School department.

On June 30, 1995, New Era College granted as university status under the name NEW ERA UNIVERSITY by the Department of Education and Chairman of the Commission on Higher Education, Secretary Ricardo T. Gloria.

The same year, 1995 – the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo deviated New Era University and destroyed nearly almost all of the properties of the school but did not hinder the New Era University community but instead, challenge them more to carry on. Through the help of the church administration in Pampanga District, New Era University was temporarily transferred to Sta. Teresita Angeles City and stayed their for two months.

During the School Year 1997-1998, New Era University – Pampanga started offering High School Education as first year classes were opened initially and was relocated at Lourdes Locale in Angeles City with one hundred thirty-three (133) students.

The year that followed, New Era University population increased with two hundred eighteen (218) students, relocated in Mabuhay Building, Telabastagan, City of San Fernando, and stayed there until December 2001, with Mr. Joey Morales as the OIC and an additional two teachers.

During the school year 2000-2001, Bro. Florentino T. Doqueña, Jr., a minister of the gospel administered the school as its first principal. It was during his time when the Committee on Student Discipline and Evaluation Office (CSDE) was organized and the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI). The school also started to offer Computer Education from elementary to high school student and Saturday classes for the parent. The faculty, staff and students held daily devotional prayer, for the construction of the permanent home of New Era University. Through the help and blessings of our Almighty God, the construction of the school campus started later part of the year 2000 that inspired the whole community to be more devoted in their duties and responsibilities despite of all the trials and hardship they encountered. The faculty with the staff of the school conducted home visitation to every students especially to those who are in need of their supervision not only the academic needs of the students but also to give them moral support. The school produced twenty-four (24) graduates from the high school department as its first batch of graduates.

The following year 2001 - 2002, as the construction of the permanent site of the school, shows significant increase in student population especially in high school department that numbered seven hundred students and an additional of nine teachers and two administrative staff was added. The first year class was added two section and the second and third year by then increased to two sections. This growth of the student population necessitated in organizing different academic and extra-curricular clubs in high school department initially. The office of the Academic Coordinator is also organized to help the principal administered the school.

It was also during the school year 2001-2002, New Era University – Pampanga received its recognition under Private School Law reiterated in BP. Blg. 233 or Education Act of 1992 to offer a four year high school education on August 1, 2001 and on November 8, 2001 for the Pre-Elementary and grades I – VI of elementary course.

By January 5, 2002, Justice Serafin R. Cuevas inaugurated the school permanent home, which was, located at McArthur Highway, dela Paz Norte, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university.

During the summer of school year 2001-2002, the administration of the school endeavor to engage in community services, by offering short term courses such as Curtain Making, Baking, Sports Clinic, Music Lesson, Baking aiming to develop the skills and expertise of the individuals, through the help of the Church administration in Pampanga District, devoted brethren from the District together with some of the faculty members in the university rendered their services as trainors of the said program. At the same time, the school offered summer classes to help the failing students to accomplish their deficiency. At this time, the school produces 36 high school graduates, 35 elementary graduates.

Another significant increased on student population was added during the school year 2002-2003, which numbered eight hundred and eleven faculty members, two church worker, and two administrative staff. One section added in first year class, two sections for second year and third year and one section for fourth year of the high school department and all level from the elementary department added one section each class. This increased of population necessitated more organized administration to help the principal, every academic subject was assigned as coordinator in both departments. The DepEd Division of San Fernando- Pampanga had also noticed the school and hosted the meeting of the Private School Administration – Sports Committee on September 2002. This year proved to be more active involvement of students in the pursuit of excellence, the student council in the High department was born named Central Ministry Office and students from the high school department got its shinning moment as they won in different Academic and extra-curricular competitions in the Division of San Fernando. The school then produces 69 graduates from the high school and 35 from the elementary department.

School year 2003 -2004, Bro. Romulo F. Silvano, also a minister of the gospel as its second principal administered the school. Another increased of student’s population remark the school growth as it reached One Thousand Six hundred students. Additional section were added in all year level of the high school department and grade level in the elementary department, one section in Preparatory classes. The school started also offering nursery classes in the Pre-school department. These increased of population necessitated for a more democratic students and pupils participation and involvement where in Co-curricular groups were organized to cater the different interest of the students like New Era University – Socio Historical Society, Young Writers Club, Homemakers Club, Science Club, Math Club, Filipino Club, both in elementary and High School Department. The student Council adopted its new name, YOUTH FORUM ORGANIZATION as it is named in the main campus.

It was during his time as a principal, when the school celebrated its 10th Year Foundation anniversary in Pampanga. The Students from the high school department sponsored Fun Day that highlights Horror Booth of the Socio-Historical Society, Marriage Booth of the Filipino Club, Jail Booth of the YFO, while the elementary department conducted a stage play. The same year, the Office of the Student Affair was created to have direct and close supervision of student welfare in both departments. Bro. Vener Villaroman became its first chairperson.

Just like the previous year, students were continuously harvesting golden sweet fruits as they won in different cultural, literary and academic inter-school competitions. Four among the high school students represent not only the school but also the whole division of San Fernando in CLARAA in Olongapo City ii 2003, and three high School students represent the division of San Fernando in Regional Secondary School Press Conference held in Baler Aurora on January 2004.
