The Newly Renovated University Hall

The newly renovated University Hall in the main building was inaugurated on December 1, 2017. Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, the coordinator of Christian Family Organizations (CFO) led the ribbon cutting. Gracing the occasion were the chairperson and members of the Board of Trustees.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nilo L. Rosas, the University President, noted that the new facility is just among the present projects the University embarks on, along with the construction of the 5-story building for classrooms in the main campus, the new building in Pinugay, Rizal and the upcoming construction of the medical laboratory.

Bro. Franklin T. Bunag, the Vice President for Administration, read the history of the University Hall. The NEU Glee Club and the NEU Rondalla rendered musical performances. Bro. Ricardo V. Carpio Jr., University Minister, led the closing prayer.


A Care-Project from EC in Japan

The New Era University Integrated School – Grade School Department received a soft “helmet” (Disaster Prevention Hood) as a care-project from the group of Ministers’ wives assigned in Ecclesiastical District of Japan. The said helmet is a safety gear used by school children in Japan to protect themselves from earthquake during evacuation while at school.

The students and parents were both very happy to receive the safety gears as according to them, they feel safer and prepared for when the earthquake comes. As per the School Administration, this kind of project is a big help to the school and a testimony of how the Church Administration cares for the welfare of the young members of the Church.

The project was spearheaded by Sis. Amalee Benedicto, one of the Minister’s wife from Japan, Sis. Anita P. Santos, Consultant for NEU IS, and Dr. Rebecca S. Supan, the Principal.

NEU Science Fair 2017

The New Era University celebrates its annual Science Fair with the theme “Keep Moving Forward in Science.”

The three-day event which starts on September 7, 2017, exhibits the output of NEU students in the development of prototypes, models, and other research outputs that contribute to the development of science and technology.

This year’s fair includes a Science Project Competition with the following categories: (1) Electronics and Electrical; (2) Tools, Energy and Environment; (3) Scale Model; (4) Computer Program; (5) Medicine and Health Related; (6) Elementary Students; (7) Junior High School; and (8) Senior High School.

A total of 40 finalists will compete this year and the awarding of winners will be held during the culminating activity of the Science Fair.




The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) conducted a monitoring and evaluation for the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) on July 26, 2017.

Among the CHED monitoring and evaluation team members were Dr. Gilbert R. Arce and Mr. Carmelo M. Acuña (Members, Technical Panel for ETEEAP), Prof. Ma. Teresita P. Medado (Member, Technical Panel for Teacher Education and Chairperson, Technical Committee for ALS), Dr. Gloria B. Obcena (ETEEAP-OPSD Representative), Dr. Ronald Niño L. Agoncillo (Asst. Chief, NHD-OPSD, CHED), and Ms. Analiza Ganto (CHED-NCR Representative).

The program for the said event was held at the NEU Accreditation Room. The NEU President, Dr. Nilo L. Rosas, made an introduction and delivered a message for the attendees. Some Music students also showcased their talents during the intermission number.

Evaluation of documents and evidences was likewise done where the NEU ETEEAP received a favorable response from the CHED monitoring and evaluation team members. Afterwards, a University Tour was conducted.

NEULCB First PTCA Conference SY 2017-2018

NEU Lipa City Branch held its first PTCA Conference on July 7, 2017, at NEULCB covered court.

As the new school year 2017-2018 run on into its realm, NEULCB has to be proactive to ensure quality in her services to the community and to the stakeholders. It envisioned to further enhance and double all efforts for the realization of her VMGO. Thus, parents were told and encouraged to continue their support to all activities of the Branch. It is our firm resolve to create a culture of continued improvement geared towards excellence.

We are also committed to adopting a management philosophy embracing all activities through which the needs and expectations of the clientele and community, and the objectives of the organization are satisfied in the most efficient and cost effective manner by maximizing the potential of all employees in a continuing drive for improvement.

NEU Pampanga 23rd-Founding-Year Activities

In line with its 23d Founding Anniversary, New Era University-Pampanga Branch conducted tree planting activity. The whole morning of June 22 was earmarked for the tree planting activity participated by Faculty, Staff, Ministers, and Ministers wives.

Some 65 fruit bearing tree seedlings were planted within the NEU Pampanga Campus.

New Era University continues its relentless efforts to achieve its vision of becoming a world-class institution of learning.  Pampanga campus does its share as it launches various activities that will help the University realize the said aspiration.

On the third day of its week-long celebration on June 21, commemorating its 23rd Founding Anniversary from June 19-23, 2017, NEU-Pampanga held two (2) important events:

1.  The inauguration of its Accreditation Hall and other 3 Offices, and

2. The holding of Consultation Visit of the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities Accrediting Agency (ACSCU-AA) as its initial step toward voluntary accreditation of its academic program offerings.

Dr. Nilo L. Rosas, the NEU President along with other school officials, and Bro. Bedan L. Ubaldo, Pampanga West’s District Minister, and the Assistant District Minister Bro. Eric Chulvo graced the said occasion.

In the opening program for the whole day activity, the annual awarding of faculty achievers from the Elementary and High School departments was held.

Dr. Rosas, together with Bro. Ubaldo, and Dr. Alberto R. Domingo, Jr., School Director of NEU-Pampanga, recognized the efforts of the teachers in the Faculty Observation held from June 2016-March 2017. The awardees of Certificates of Merits were  10 faculty members from the Elementary Department and another 10 faculty members from the High School Department. The Elementary faculty awardees are as follows (arranged from 1st to 10th places): Tr. Ma. Jessica P. Guiao, Tr. Tenny I. Borja, Tr. Nancy L. Mesina, Tr. Beth L. Dela Cruz, Tr. Normita S. Manacio, Tr. Alea D, Basilio, Tr. Janette P. Garon, Tr. Yvonne Lingat, Tr. Rialyn G. Tungol, and Tr. Jamie L. Madla. Awardees from the High School Department included (1st-10th places): Tr. Maritel M. Del Mundo, Tr. Michelle V. Fernandez, Tr. Abegail C. Pineda, Tr. Cecille Q. Sangalang, Tr. Lyn G. Layug, Tr. Charlene F. Del Rosario, Tr. Merla G. Molina, Tr. Jennilyn L. Calaguas, Tr. Jocelyn Y. Castro, and Tr. Maritess R. Dela Cruz.

The NEU President inspired the teachers as he acknowledged the sacrifices of every mentor in the slide presentations he dedicated for them. In his speech, he emphasized the achievements of NEU and all its 3 branches with NEU Pampanga always doing the trailblazing role thru its innovations and creativity in implementing its various undertakings.

After the program, the newest school facilities were officially inaugurated and the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony was led by Dr. Rosas, Bro. Ubaldo, and Dr. Angelito P. Pedreño, Executive Director of ACSCU AA, together with Bro. Chulvo, and Dr. Domingo.

Sumptuous lunch followed and served at the TLE Skills and Livelihood Hub . It could be recalled that this facility was also inaugurated last year by Dr. Rosas and Bro. Ubaldo.

The third part of the day’s activity was the Consultation Visit of ACSCU AA to NEU-Pampanga. The visit aimed at guiding the school in the accreditation process.

The next part was the orientation of the faculty on Accreditation with Dr. Pedreño, together with Dr. Mercedes R. Esmade, Director of NEU-Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation.  The teachers were truly enlightened and emerged enthusiastic after the enjoyable lecture of the ACSCU AA Executive Director.

The NEU President delivered an inspiring speech coupled with inspirational video presentations dedicated to the faculty members to recognize their sacrifices.
